Children’s energy conservation program set
Frankort Public Library will host a free presentation on ways to conserve energy at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The presentation is for youths in kindergarten through eighth grade.

Raffle tickets on sale for GetActive event
Lighthouse Loft Inc. is selling 50/50 raffle tickets to benefit the inaugural GetActive event scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, June 18 and 19, at Veterans Memorial Park.
Tickets are $5 each and will be sold in Eastern Park immediately following the Little Falls Bicentennial Kickoff Parade on Friday, June 3.
GetActive will feature a luncheon, concert, sports activities, a DiamondDawgs baseball game and more. All of the events are free.

Hospital to host breast-feeding class
Rome Memorial Hospital is hosting a free breast-feeding class at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, in the hospital’s classroom. Meet instructor Sandy Graichen in the hospital lobby. Use the North James Street entrance.
The class will feature a breastfeeding video, a display of breastfeeding products, several information sheets to help reinforce the material presented, and a list of people to turn to for support.

Learn how to help save someone’s life
During National CPR Week, which runs through Tuesday, the American Heart Association is urging people to take 60 seconds to watch a hands-only CPR instructional video so they are equipped to act in a cardiac emergency.
The video, which can be viewed at www.heart.org/cpr, teaches the simple steps to help an adult who is in cardiac arrest.
