Commercial Leases Property Seminar – A Round up of Appleby's Latest Breakfast ...

Appleby’s latest breakfast seminar entitled “Commercial Leases – Repair Covenants and Dilapidations Claims” was held on 15 June at The Pomme d’Or Hotel, St Helier, Jersey. The seminar was chaired by Andrew Pim and included speakers from Appleby’s Property group - Partners Tim Hart, Georgina Cook and John Bisson - and David Benest, a Partner from the Litigation & Insolvency group and Managing Partner of the Jersey office. The seminar was well attended attracting over 100 attendees from a wide audience including representatives of local trust companies, bankers, surveyors and others from the local property industry.

The seminar, which forms part of a programme of events hosted by Appleby, covered key issues which included: the key terms in repair clauses, remedies during and at the end of lease terms and considerations in dilapidations claims from both the landlord’s and the tenant’s perspective.
